昭和ノスタルジー～1960年代の『団地』生活 Japanese Danchi with big dreams in the 1960s
The National Museum of Japanese History is located approximately at 30 minutes by train from Narita Airport, in Sakura city, Chiba Prefecture.
In this museum are displayed official documents and different goods of Japanese history. From the late 1950s to the 1970s, Japan sufferd an economical boom called high economic growth period . In the period people moved from mountain villages to cities, where Danchi (2DK housing complexes) were built. In this museum, there is an exhibition where is possible to learn more about how was life in Danchi . Behind the powerful Japanese economy, people living in those small apartments had big dreams. There are plenty of interesting exhibitions, so they can not be seen just in one day.
